  • Fire detection system-BS 5839-1: 2017 including aspirated smoke detection, smoke heads, heat detection and call points in the new office block, the new freezer and updated areas

  • CCTV-BSEN 50132 Grade 3 system with special equipment for the low temperature areas

  • Access Control–BS EN 50133 security protocol Grade 3 system

  • Computer hardware, server, PC's, cabinet, monitors, structured cabling

  • Office based management and on-site meeting attendance throughout the project.

Our Role:

The company provided the full services concept design, contractors’ drawings and tender documents review and approval, site inspections during the installation stages, preparation of SBEM calculations, energy performance certificate and review of the as-built documentation.

Challenges & Collaboration:

The site sits in the south of Wales, where more restricted building energy performances applies, SBEM calculations managed accordingly. In addition, the works had to be carried out with the site active as bakery production is deemed essential. The working zones needed to be isolated and temporary compartmented to allow the factory to continue production.

Commitment to Sustainability and the Environment:

The company deliver design solutions based on the cornerstone of sustainability, environmental integrity, economic viability and social well-being. The heating of the environments has been engineered with hybrid high performance VRF systems and particular care was considered to avoid losses through the piping stream and crossings. Energy saving equipment was installed such as LED lighting and care was addressed to select devices without high self-consumption in standby.
